Cruising the Mountain!

Today we went to Park City to enjoy the Alpine Coaster. The kids had a blast! It was getting a little chilly though so the kids got to try out their jackets for the first time this fall.

They sure love their Mommy!

We also brought Cammie, my sister, and Natalie, my cousin. Though they were a bit cold, they had a great time!

I wasn't supposed to "strictly speaking" have my camera out. Don't tell anyone.

Lauren was very excited.

I love Braden's face here.

Braden's New Glasses!

Braden just got a couple of new pairs of glasses and he looks very handsome!!!

Braden's First Trout!

Today Braden reeled in his very first rainbow trout! He was so excited and can't wait to eat it. We'll make a fisherman of him yet!

Braden with his Great-Grandpa Chandler. I'm glad they had this chance to spend time together.

Lauren's 4th Birthday!

Today was Lauren's 4th birthday and we had an amazing time! Lauren had lots of friends over and Stacy planned a very special party for her. She worked really hard and it paid off for Lauren; she was thrilled and had a great day!

What Braden does when he's at a girls' birthday party. Nice.

It was a great day and we are so thankful for our beautiful Lauren. Happy Birthday Princess!

First real Christmas tree

So we gave away our Christmas tree that Stacy was so in love with last year and decided this year that we would try, for the first time in my life, a real Christmas tree. Stacy decorated it and it looks amazing! We're excited. Merry Christmas!

What we’re up to

Stacy is doing really well in Nursing school. I couldn't be prouder! She is also working occasional graveyard shifts as a CNA at an orthopedic recovery hospital. She really enjoys her work there. She also recently started her nursing clinical just two weeks ago. She says that's just a lot of paperwork so far, but also that that's the life of a nurse; a lot of paperwork! I'm starting piloting school in May; I really look forward to that. Making a living out of an office in the sky sounds great to me! Braden is learning a ton right now. He is in the "why" stage. He asks why about everything, even if there's no logic to it. You can almost see him growing! Lauren is a very independent girl. She calls Braden "My Braden" whenever she refers to him. It's really neat to see how much they love each other.

It looks like we'll be moving again, this time not by choice. Not that we mind. This place has been great financially, but it's too crammed. So we're in the lookout for a new place. I'm sure we'll find a great one. We've been very nomadic in our journeys thus far. We really don't like moving all that much, we just do it a lot. Hopefully this next move will be something a lot more permanent. We hope you all are doing well, we are interested in your lives, too so keep us posted!

Soccer Pictures!

Braden has really been enjoying his soccer games. That is to say, if enjoying means lying down in the middle of a game and forgetting that there's a ball involved and not just a net! He's been having a lot of fun. The four year-olds are all the same in the games, just running around like crazy. It's kind of funny to watch. We're really proud of him and can't wait to get his sister in on it too.

Braden's first Soccer Game!

Last night was Braden's very first ever soccer game. It was really fun, he absolutely loved it! He was practicing at the beginning of the game and kept running up to me saying "Daddy, I love coming to soccer!" I kept having to tell him to go get back into line to practice. A few times the ball would go one way while he went the other. It was really funny to watch. Here are a couple of videos of the whole thing. You'll hear Lauren cheering him on in one of them.

Braden's 1st field trip w/ preschool

Last week Braden had his first field trip for preschool and we all went. We went to Wheeler Farm in Salt Lake. We went on a hay ride, the kids fed the geese, and we had a picnic lunch. It was a fun outing.

Boating again!

There's nothing like the wind-blown look!
Left to right - Ben(my cousin), Natalie(my cousin), Braden, Aunt Janet, and Lauren.

This is where we belong.

Poor Uncle Phil shows us the proper way to wakeboard but nearly freezes in the process!

This is my cousin Caylen, his dada did just about all he could to beat him up on this run. I won't lie, Uncle Phil did a great job in doing so!

So we went boating again on Labor day with Aunt Janet and Uncle Phil. We're sure going to miss this season! The kids played all day on the beach and I actually managed to stand up on the wakeboard(though stand up vs. stay up are two very different things). We had a ton of fun!

Zoo!

This past weekend we went to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake. The kids had a great time, especially since this was their first time ever at a zoo. They got to see monkeys and tigers and all kinds of fun things! In the third picture you will see that they really are monkeys. I've been saying it for years and here's the proof!

This video was funny. Lauren would not go stand by the fake elephant, and when Braden did it sneezed and scared him!

Sacrafice to the toaster Gods!

The other day I went to make a piece of toast and the toaster was not working. I tried and tried to force it down and could not figure out why it was not working. I looked in and this is what I saw. One of the kids (my guess Lauren because I saw her with this earlier that day) dropped it in there. You had to laugh, it was just funny!
